We are currently seeking a diligent and proactive Kitchen Technician (Installateur de Cuisine) to join our dynamic team. Our outlet is based at Tribeca.

 

The Kitchen Technician is responsible for the installation, assembly, and maintenance of kitchen units, cabinets, and appliances. The role includes interpreting technical designs, ensuring precise and quality installation, and adhering to safety and customer satisfaction standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Assembly

Install kitchen units, cabinets, countertops, and appliances according to design specifications.
Assemble and fit components accurately, ensuring a flawless finish.
Install plumbing and electrical connections for sinks, stoves, dishwashers, and other kitchen equipment.

  • Technical Expertise

Read and interpret technical blueprints, sketches, and design plans.
Use appropriate tools and equipment for installation tasks.
Measure spaces to ensure proper alignment and fit of kitchen components.

  • Maintenance and Repairs

Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on installed kitchen systems.
Diagnose and fix issues related to fittings, hardware, or appliances.

  • Customer Interaction

Communicate with clients to understand requirements and provide updates during installations.
Offer advice on care and maintenance of kitchen units and appliances.

  • Health and Safety Compliance

Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and regulations.
Use tools and equipment safely to avoid accidents.

  • Teamwork and Collaboration

Work collaboratively with designers, project managers, and other technicians.
Provide input on project planning and improvement opportunities.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in kitchen installation or similar roles.
  • Familiarity with modern kitchen designs and appliances.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Good problem-solving skills and adaptability.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Clear Valid Driving Permit

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move heavy kitchen components and appliances.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces or standing for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.

Work Environment

  • On-site installation at clients’ homes or commercial kitchens.
  • Workshop settings for pre-assembly tasks.
  • Occasional travel to client locations.
