The Kitchen equipment technician will be responsible for maintaining, modifying, troubleshooting, and repairing a large inventory of electric and gas commercial hotel kitchen equipment and appliances

 

  • To ensure proper operation and maintenance of  all kitchen equipment and appliances gas and electrical
  • Take corrective action on breakdown, faults and complaints
  • Implements and executes proper preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Prepare daily and weekly programmes.
  • Monitoring and controlling contractor’s works on  all kitchen equipment, system and appliances.
  • Monitoring and recording performance of all kitchen equipment & systems by help of regular log sheets. Maintains equipment in efficient operating condition.
  • Reporting problems, recommending improvements, repairs, suggest capital expenditure items and projects. This relates to uneconomic repairs improvements in performance and comfort conditions as well as economic operation.
  • To maintain equipment in safe operating conditions and ensures periodic safety and fire

    PROFILE

    • He must possess a sound knowledge of all the different types of kitchen and refrigeration equipment function hence having worked in hotel industry is a must.
    • He must have an outstanding soldering and blazing skills, applying oxygen/propane
    • Strong ability to read, understand and interpret wiring diagrams, and to follow manuals on operation and installation to successful complete tasks
    • Excellent ability to apply various types of equipment safely and efficiently, to maintain, ensure preventive measures and service the respective equipment in timely manner.
    • Exceptional ability to properly investigate problems and propose the best solution to ensure the good running of all kitchen equipment and appliances in a sustainable way.
    prevention inspections in accordance with local regulations and codes

  • EXPERIENCE IN HOTEL/CATERING INDUSTRY IS A MUST.
