C-Care wellkin is recruiting a Kitchen Steward to be base at Moka.
The kitchen steward ensures the kitchen operates efficiently and maintains a clean and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, utensils, cooking pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Clean kitchen floors, counters, walls, and all food preparation areas.
- Ensure all cleaning materials and chemicals are used and stored correctly, in line with safety protocols.
- Manage kitchen waste disposal by segregating and disposing of waste properly.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Track inventory levels of cleaning supplies and kitchen tools, notifying the management team when supplies need replenishing.
- Report any broken or damaged kitchen equipment for repair or replacement.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, if required.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations.
- Support the team in ensuring smooth kitchen operations during peak hours.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and cleanliness.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions from kitchen staff and management.
- Good communication skills and reliability.
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced kitchen environment, especially during peak hours.
- May require evening, weekend, and holiday shifts based on C-Care’s operational hours.
- The role involves exposure to high temperatures, noise, and cleaning chemicals.
