Interior Design Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced Interior Design Coordinator to work closely with the Project Manager and Property Development Manager on various projects.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Design plans using computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software
• Produce “sample” and “mood products”
• Undertake design project from concept to completion
• Research and decide on materials and products sourcing
• Work from rough sketches and specifications created by the Management
• Add details to architectural plans from their knowledge of building techniques
• Prepare multiple versions of designs for review by Management
• Surveys and take physical measurement of land and building
• Assist in the development and monitoring project schedule
• Inspecting fit out sites regularly to identify progress.
• Helping project to plan to finish the weekly work program
• Analyzing plan to ensure that fit out projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications.
• Responsible for managing and coordinating subcontractors
• Planning and executing the delivery of interior fit out projects
• Assist Manager in overall project planning & site management
• Coordinate & manage subcontractors' progress and quality of works
• Deploy the necessary expertise to ensure installation of items ( False ceiling, partition, fixtures, furniture)
• Attend all site meetings and assist in the completion of project
• To understand the technical requirements of the work and be able to explain the same to others
• Conduct inventory reviews and track materials and prepare interim payment for sub-contractor
• Any other related cognate duties

Qualification/Experience

• A diploma in Interior Design or Architectural technology
• 2-5 years of experience as a draughtsman with experience on interior design/fit out projects
• Strong communication, planning, and time management skills
• Strong computer skills using AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs
• Proven working experience in decorating interior
• Expert in layout, colour, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations.
• Excellent portfolio of previous works
• Creative talent, imagination and eye for design
