The Industrial Relations & HR Operations Lead will play a crucial role in executing our HR strategies across our entities, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive work environment. This position will provide operational guidance and support, assist in the management of industrial relations and HR operations, manage a portfolio of recruitment, and collaborate with various departments to enhance employee engagement and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Industrial Relations:
- Implement and encourage industrial relations practices that promote a positive and collaborative workplace.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, effectively resolving conflicts and grievances.
- Liaise with unions and employee representatives to maintain healthy relationships and ensure compliance with agreements.
- HR Operations Support:
- Assist with day-to-day HR operations, ensuring processes are efficient and compliant with departmental goals.
- Contribute to the development and execution of HR policies, procedures, and programs that enhance employee satisfaction and performance.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues on HR best practices and operational matters.
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
- Support the recruitment process by collaborating with hiring managers to define roles and develop job descriptions.
- Assist in candidate screening, selection, and onboarding processes to ensure a positive candidate experience.
Employee Engagement and Development:
- Help implement initiatives that drive employee engagement, retention, and development.
- Support the design and facilitation of training programs focused on conflict resolution & team dynamics.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Prepare and provide reports to the head of the department on HR metrics, employee relations, recruitment, and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or relevant certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on industrial relations, HR operations, and recruitment.
- Strong understanding of labor laws & regulations.
- Proven experience in managing employee relations issues, negotiations, and recruitment processes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organisation.
