We are looking for a dynamic and talented Human Resources Specialist for the Leisure Cluster based at our Head Office at Bagatelle.

 

Overview of the Role:

The HR Specialist is responsible for optimizing human resources operations and culture within the company, ensuring efficient management of HR activities and alignment with organizational goals and policies.

 This role will oversee HR operations for the Leisure cluster, which includes 7 Coloured Earth, Le Chamarel Restaurant, World of Seashells, and Bel Ombre Nature Reserve.

 Although based at the Bagatelle office, the HR Specialist will be required to travel regularly to these various business units located between Chamarel and Bel Ombre.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage HR department performance to foster a performance-oriented culture, including performance appraisals and training needs identification.
  • Oversee probation reviews and follow-up on underperformance and absences as per set timelines.
  • Support Human Resource and Department Heads with team member actions, promotions, and disciplinary matters.
  • Coordinate welfare activities, safety committees, and CSR events, and actively engage in employee welfare and development.
  • Communicate key business strategies and values, facilitate employee feedback, and handle grievances within legal and company parameters.
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes, ensuring adherence to standards and legal requirements.
  • Manage staff schedules, including shifts and overtimes, and handle payroll processes including salaries and allowances.
  • Maintain HR records, ensure compliance with audit guidelines, and prepare HR reports and KPIs.
  • Update and manage organizational documents like organigrams, manning guides, and job descriptions.
  • Implement and monitor employee reward systems in alignment with group policies.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations of staff facilities, ensuring standards are maintained and updated.
Candidate's Profile:
  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in human resources management.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and industry regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to manage HR metrics and provide data-driven insights.
  • Strong experience in conflict management, disciplinary processes, and workplace compliance.
  • Holder of a valid driving license and must have their own vehicle.
