The Human Resources Officer will play a key role in supporting the HR department's day-to-day activities.
Duties & Experiences
- Excellent understanding of various HR fuctions such as pay & benefits, recruitment, on-boarding, evaluation, training and development etc.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and priories tasks.
- To keep an updated digital database system for records of all employees and to monitor the attendance of officers & Expats in line with established guidelines.
- To provide advice on all matters related to human resource policies, practices and procedures.
- To provide professional human resource services through the effective administration and management of human resource systems, procedures and policies.
- To ensure that human resource policies, rules, regulations and procedures are properly interpreted and consistently applied so that all employees are treated fairly and equitably.
- To act as chairperson/member/secretary of committees and boards on human resource matters.
- To supervise and provide proper guidance ad coaching to subordinate staff.
- To attend court/ Tribunals and other related institutions in respect of cases relating to human resource matters and to ensure proper follow-up action.
- To promote good employee relations and staffs welfare and take prompt action to settle grievances and conflicts through negotiation/discussion.
- Filling of MRA returns , CSG & PAYE Return.
- Manage the on-boarding and off boarding of employees
- To prepare the end of probation report of workers and send to all HOD.
- Maintain employee records.
- Conduct the processing of monthly payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
- Draft memos, warnings and other HR - related documents.
- Create a positive working environment by providing proper guidance on disciplinary and grievance issues in compliance with the Mauritian Labor Laws.
- Handle all procedures for expatriate recruitment - Work Permit & Dormitory compliance.
- Coordinate training and workshops, include- venue, facilitator, invitation, attendance records, HRDC application and refund process material.
Qualifications
- Possess a Degree in Human Resource Management
- Five years of relevant experience as HR officer
- Knowledge of payroll system
- Computer Literate.
- Proficiency in MS Office software applications.
- Good communication Skills.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Organized and proactive.
- Attentive to details.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Should have good knowledge in MRA filling.
- Job Title commensurate with qualifications and experience.
- Preference will be given to those living in the vicinity of Flacq.
