Overview:
We are looking for an HR Executive to support and enhance our Human Resources department through a blend of operational and strategic functions. The ideal candidate will manage various aspects of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures while promoting a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Staffing:
- Manage the recruitment and selection process in alignment with company SOPs.
- Prepare contracts, job descriptions, and onboarding materials for new employees.
- Oversee the hiring process from sourcing, screening, and interviewing to job offers.
- Review Employee Handbook and make sure the employee handbook aligns with the SOPs.
- Make sure the company culture, values and other aspects are communicated properly to the new recruits.
Employee Relations and Engagement:- Serve as the point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and labour law issues.
- Manage employee grievances and disciplinary matters while fostering a positive work environment.
- Foster employee engagement through recognition programs and employee feedback systems.
- Organize employee events and initiatives to promote a positive work culture.
Performance Management:- Implement and oversee performance review processes, including annual, quarterly, and 360° evaluations.
- Work with department heads to ensure that performance management systems are effective and fair.
- Analyse the performance of employees and plan training programs for the employees.
Compensation and Benefits:- Design and review competitive compensation and benefits packages.
- Ensure timely and accurate employee payroll administration.
- Review the benefits and implement new strategies that focus on work life balance.
HR Policies and Compliance:- Develop and maintain HR policies, ensuring employees comply with them.
- Stay updated on labor legislation, adapting company policies as needed.
Training and Development:- Assess training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives for employees.
- Implement career development programs to foster employee growth.
Data Management & Reporting:- Maintain and update HR systems with employee information, ensuring accuracy for payroll.
- Prepare monthly HR metrics and dashboards for management reporting.
- Implement new strategies and systems for better management of data.
HR Projects:- Participate in and manage various HR projects to enhance the employee experience and support company objectives.
Requirements:Education:
- BSc in Human Resource Management or a related field.
Experience:- At least 5 years of operational HR experience.
- Minimum of 1 year in a strategic HR role.
- Major expertise and experience in training and development
Skills and Abilities:- Familiarity with Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Strong knowledge of labour laws, including employment contracts and employee leave policies.
- Proven ability in full-cycle recruitment and managing employee relations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Fluent in both English and French.
- Must be able to work autonomously and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in hospitality or tourism sectors is a plus.
