Our client, a leading supermarket chain in Mauritius, is seeking to recruit a dynamic Human Capital Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Human Capital Executive and/or Human Capital Operations Manager in coordination of a specific pole of the Human Capital department.
- Assist in managing the Human Capital operations of two or more outlets as assigned.
- Assist and provide solutions to outlet managers in properly handling all stages of a team member life cycle.
- Manage all stages of recruitment, including advertising, scheduling, conducting interviews of candidates with departmental/outlet managers, preparing offer documentation, checking references and ensuring proper job orientation for grass roots.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
- Contribute to the development of a continuous learning culture.
- Conduct training sessions for employees as and when directed.
- Participate and help in conducting the yearly Learning & Development Needs Analysis.
- Help in the proper monitoring of the Performance Management system.
- Responsible for ensuring that the assigned outlet administration and management teams abide to all scheduling, attendance and payroll procedures.
- Work on preparation of monthly payroll and ensure that salaries and benefits are regularly reviewed and are in line with relevant agreements, remuneration orders.
- Compile data for monthly Human Capital dashboard for respective outlets.
- Ensure that all Company policies and procedures are strictly followed by all employees for respective outlets.
- Maintain Human Capital files and employees' personal records and files (soft and hard copy) up-to-date.
- Ensure that employees' information are up to date on all Human Resource Information System.
- Ensure proper coordination with the local authorities for the processing and renewal of permits, visas.
- Provide support through assistance or guidance to employees and Management on required Human Capital issues as per specific needs of assigned outlets.
- Prepare files and documentation for meetings at Labour Office, Industrial Court and/or Disciplinary Committees.
- Organize and run exit interviews with all leavers to help managers to understand potential areas of improvement.
Profile:
- Diploma in Human Resources Management or any other equivalent qualifications.
- Good knowledge of local labour legislations.
- Conversant with MS Office Suite.
- Holder of a valid driving licence. The ideal candidate should have a valid driving license and a car preferably.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in a similar position.
- Experience in the retail sector will constitute an advantage.
- Ability to effectively deal with a variety of audience, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.
- Effective communication, organizational and time management skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail and results-oriented.
- Ability to work under pressure
