To provide monitoring, consulting and training services to ensure compliance with Safety, Health and Welfare procedures, best practices and regulations.

 

Team Management

  • Organises and facilitates on-the-job training and coaching sessions for trainees and staff members in order to develop their awareness of occupational Health & Safety.

Health & Safety Procedures

  • Maintains a working environment that is free from occupational hazards by recommending adequate provision of facilities, arrangements and equipment for employees at work.
  • Regularly checks that all employees are wearing any required protective clothing and using protective equipment, and reports the loss, defect or damaging of such to HODs.
  • Works closely with the F&B Manager and Executive Chef to take all steps towards preventing food contamination whilst ensuring Kitchen safety and personal hygiene of staff within those Departments.
  • Establishes Health & Safety programmes in compliance with legal standards and in collaboration with the HR Manager and/or Quality Assurance Manager.

Material Handling & Inventory

  • Conducts walk-through to audit the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical aspects of the Hotel and makes recommendations to Hotel Management at intervals mutually agreed upon.
  • Monitors electrical appliances, and the safe and proper functioning of power-operated machinery at regular intervals.
  • Makes recommendations to ensure the safety of team members against hazardous situations.

Facilitation

  • Organises and facilitates regular briefings and drills with regards to Health & Safety issues.
  • Organises a Health & Safety Committee Meeting at least once every two months, in compliance with OSHA.
  • Facilitates various internal meetings pertaining to Health, Safety and Welfare.

Document Production

  • Prepares monthly and Year-end reports for submission to the HR Manager and/or Quality Assurance Manager, and assists in any other administrative work pertaining to Health, Safety and Welfare.
