As Head of Sales you will be responsible of overseeing a SGS sales strategies and team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the sales process in accordance with the company procedures, client procedure, scheme/ program procedure, contract requirements.
- Improve sales processes, and best practices to enhance effective sales and revenue generation.
- Monitor and supervise the sales processes to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Ensure efficient utilization of resources.
- Supervise the workforce, including task allocation, setting deadlines, and monitoring performance.
- Formulate strategic and sales objectives aligned with organizational goals.
- Responsible for sales related communications with internal and external clients.
- Analyze Salesforce data to identify opportunities for improving processes.
- Implement corrective actions to improve processes.
- Utilize approved resources and systems to execute sales activities.
- Prepare and develop proposals, quotations, tenders, and client correspondence.
- Provide the Business Development Manager with monthly sales reports, forecasts, client updates, trends and sales team KPI’s.
- Seek technical advice from technical staff when preparing proposals, quotations, tenders.
- Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business.
- Assist the Business Development Manager in taking the appropriate decisions in relation to sales and marketing trends within the industry.
- Coordinate sales effort with business development, marketing, accounting, technical and operations.
- Analyzes the territory/market’s potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers value to the organization.
- Identify advantages and compare organization’s products/services against competitors.
- Plan, organize and execute the sales strategy.
- Keep abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with the Business Development Manager and technical service areas.
- Focus on growing and developing existing clients together with generating new sales opportunities.
- Supply the Business Development Manager with oral and written reports on customer needs, pain points, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Adhere to all quality and safety requirements of SGS management systems.
- Ensure pricing policies and financial policies and procedures are followed
Required skills :
- Matriculation.
- Qualification or training in Sales
- 5 Years work experience in sales preferably in laboratory testing, auditing, certification, training and services.
- Document and report writing experience.
- Experience in supervising staff and achieving set KPI’s.
- Experience in customer service and liaison.
- Excellent computer literacy.
- Excellent English and French communication: Speaking, reading, writing.
