We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Maintenance Head to oversee the maintenance operations of our hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the hotel's buildings, systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical), and equipment are functioning properly.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
  • Supervise a team of maintenance and gardeners, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Coordinate repair, installation, and renovation projects, ensuring minimal disruption to guests.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for the maintenance team.
  • Manage the maintenance budget effectively, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to source necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Develop contingency plans for unexpected maintenance needs.
  • Work closely with other departments (e.g., housekeeping, front desk) to address maintenance issues in guest rooms and public areas.
  • Communicate effectively with external contractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment inventory, and maintenance schedules.
Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with safety and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • The position involves working in a fast-paced environment with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Participation in staff training and development programs is expected.
