As the strategic Head of HR for a parastatal body, you will be at the forefront of driving the human resources strategy to align with the organization's mission and goals. This role requires a deep understanding of strategic manpower planning and the ability to foster a positive, trust-based work environment that encourages open dialogue. You will provide neutral, strategic advice to leadership, ensuring that HR practices are and aligned with organizational needs.

Responsibilities: 

  • Driving performance management initiatives to support a high-performance culture.
  • Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures in line with the organisation’s goals
  • Managing employee relations, conflict resolution, and ensuring a positive work environment.
  • Overseeing HR analytics and reporting to make data-driven decisions.
  • Overseeing talent acquisition, recruitment, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent.
  • To collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organisation’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruitment, and retention
  • Creating and executing employee development and training programs to enhance skills and performance.
  • Collaborating with other departments to align HR initiatives with overall organisation’s objectives

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree with at least 12 years’ experience in relevant field of work and at least 6 years’ experience at management level
  • Bachelors’ degree with at least 15 years relevant work experience and at least 8 years experience at management level

  • Ability to lead continuous organisational change and development.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

  • Proven experience in HR issues and strategy
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
