CDS Mauritius Ltd (the IT subsidiary of the COLAS group) is looking for an HR Officer to join the team and start a new adventure.

 

Centre Digital Solutions (Mauritius) Ltd is the IT Service Center of the COLAS group (Bouygues), and started operating in 2021 at Cybercity, Ebene. The COLAS group, being the World leader in the construction and maintenance of transport infrastructure worldwide, undertakes more than 60,000 projects every year via a network of construction/production units and recycling sites in some 50 countries on all five continents.

Affiliated to Colas Digital Solutions, CDS Mauritius Ltd provides IT services to over 40,000 COLAS users worldwide. Our core activities range from Network and System Monitoring, Datacenter Administration, Network and System Security, Telecom Services to User Support throughout the COLAS Group.

Reporting to the Head of the Service Center, the selected candidate will have the following responsibilities along with any other cognate duties:

 -            Recruitment

  • Posting online adverts, screening and interviewing candidates
  • Onboarding, contract signature, induction of newcomers as per process
  • Maintaining a database of candidates

-            Employee Management

  • Leave Management (Record/Analysis/Planning)
  • Maintain employee database
  • Be the point of contact for all staff regarding HR related matters
  • Handle queries from employees and assist in conflict resolutions and disciplinary actions

-            HR Administration

  • Liaise with third parties to organise training sessions for employees
  • Responsible for G1 and G3 applications and follow up for HRDC refund
  • Maintain a training database
  • Be the point of contact for medical insurance issues and for any query regarding existing company policies, rules and regulations
  • Be proficient with existing labour laws
  • Process timesheets on the existing HR payroll system
  • Ability to draft employment contracts, and proficient with legal terms

 -            Employee Welfare

  • Participate in Employee Welfare committees
  • Take the lead on event organisations (EOY, Team Building, Activities..)
  • Encourage and foster a healthy work environment

  

Profile:

Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business Administration/Management

2-4 years of proven experience as an HR Officer, preferably in the IT Sector

 

Skills and competencies:

-            People oriented

-            Excellent organizational skills

-            Excellent communication skills in French and English  (both oral and written)

-            Advanced knowledge of Office Tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)

-            Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

-            Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

-            Solution and result driven

-            Proactive with the ability to propose improvements and initiate HR projects
