Human Resources Manager 

Natec is predominantly a manufacturing facility of high tech medical devices. With a commitment to innovation, collaboration and excellence, we are seeking an HR Manager to take charge our HR strategies.

Based in Mauritius, you will report to the Head of Finance and Human Resources and play a key role in shaping Natec workforce to achieve the company goals. You will propose and implement HR strategies aligned with company growth and development goals.

As Human Resources Manager, you will manage the existing Administrative and Talent development team.

Your responsibilities are as follows:

Company Culture & Collaboration

  • Promote and foster the company's culture across all levels.
  • Encourage strong collaboration and communication between departments to support a cohesive and high-performing workplace.

.Strategic HR Management

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s mission, values, and business objectives.
  • Act as a strategic partner to all departments, providing expert guidance on workforce planning, training, development, and retention initiatives.
  • Collaborate with executives and senior management to provide HR insights and recommendations that drive organizational growth and adaptability.

Recruitment & Selection

  • Manage the entire recruitment life cycle, from job analysis and advertising to interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Work closely with department heads to identify staffing needs and secure the right talent efficiently and effectively.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the recruitment process.
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline through partnerships with educational institutions, recruitment agencies, and professional networks.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of compensation structures and employee benefits programs.
  • Ensure all pay and benefits policies are competitive, compliant, and aligned with industry standards and company goals.
  • Monitor market trends to make informed recommendations for compensation strategies.

Payroll Oversight

  • Supervise the accurate and timely processing of payroll, in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Finance Department to ensure proper disbursement of salaries and deductions.
  • Monitor attendance, leave management, and time tracking systems to support payroll accuracy.
  • Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly and effectively.

HR Systems & Initiatives

  • Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of HR systems, tools, and initiatives.
  • Define and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess HR effectiveness and impact.
  • Analyse workforce data and employee feedback to foster a more engaged, motivated, and productive workforce.

Compliance & Legal

  • Maintain thorough and up-to-date knowledge of employment laws, including Employment Rights Acts (ERAs) and Remuneration Orders (ROs).
  • Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with all relevant legislation and statutory obligations.

Strategic Projects & Organizational Development

  • Propose and lead strategic HR projects in collaboration with department managers to enhance company agility, innovation, and responsiveness to change.
  • Support change management processes and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

 

Qualification:

  • Degree in Human Resources Management from a recognized institution. 
  • At least 7 - 10 years of similar work experience, preferably with an exposure to EPZ environment /manufacturing sector.
  • Work experience in a production site environment with 500+ employees.
  • Experience of leading and organising an HR Department and Development team to support business objectives.

  • Good strategic thinking, focused and able to convince.
  • Outgoing, with proven network creation capacity.
  • Fully conversant with basic Microsoft Office Tools.
