Duties and Responsibilities:
This role includes, but is not limited to:
- Be responsible for the full recruitment cycle for the local and expatriate workforce.
- Liaises and follows up with the Health & Safety Officer for all related matters including cases of injury at work and maintenance of a safe working environment.
- Ensures the Company’s dormitory is equipped, clean and safe and holds all relevant permits.
- Be part of the planning and organisation committee for staff events including Team Building activities as approved by the Company.
- Be responsible for occupation permit application 9payments/do follow up on the renewal/liaising with Finance Department and Board of Investment/Ministry of Labour/follow up on occupation permit/work permit upon termination of contract of employment).
- Produces timely and accurate reports for HR metrics, including but not limited to: overtime, absences, expats costs, movement and attrition in an efficient manner thereby allowing Management to take informed decisions and timely actions.
- Conduct weekly/monthly site visit to check on expatriates and address any concerns that would come across.
- Assists in drafting HR policies, processes, and procedures and ensure they are consistently applied across the company.
- Provide subject matter expertise and operational support and guidance on disciplinary and grievance issues, in line with local legislation and company policies and guidelines.
- Establishes an induction program for new expat recruits and seek regular feedback to ensure newcomers are adapting well to their new work
- Liaises with authorities for obtention of relevant permits.
- Any other cognate duties as directed by Management at any time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2-5 years of proven work experience in expatriate management.
- In-depth knowledge of labour laws, Remuneration Orders and HR best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across all levels of an organization.
- Exposure to expatriate operations including dormitories management and recruitment of expatriate.
- Knowledge of legal requirements and processes pertaining to work permit, lodging accommodation.
- Fluent in both English and French (written and oral) and Hindi.
- Valid driving license
- Clean certificate of character
