Accounts Officer for Gamma Civic Ltd
The job incumbent will work in close collaboration with the Finance Managers and assist in the day-to-day activities of the accounting department of Gamma Civic Ltd and managed entities.
Key Responsibilities
• To ensure complete and timely integration with the General Leger and prepare reconciling schedules with General ledger;
• To issue monthly invoices to debtors and follow up for payments;
• To verify and process supplier invoices with timeliness, accuracy and completeness keeping detailed analysis of expenditures, and issue payments through bank transfers, cheques and Internet banking;
• To perform periodic reconciliation of liability to suppliers’ statements;
• To perform monthly/periodic bank reconciliation statements and adjust for reconciling items in accounting software
• To prepare and monitor the Fixed Assets Register reconciliation;
• To prepare and submit monthly VAT and TDS return to local authorities within the deadline;
• To assist in internal/external audit;
• To advise and support internal customers on how purchases must be handled;
• To receive and process all purchase requisitions for procurement of all materials and services by:
o Confirming with the originator on accuracy of specification;
o Inviting approved vendors to quote/tender based on quality, price suitability and availability, comparing alternatives in liaison with end users;
o Collecting quotations for requisitions received; and
o Converting requisition to purchase orders and submitting them for approval as per the Company’s approval authority manual.
• To deliver approved purchase orders to vendors;
• To serve as a liaison between users and vendors;
• To maintain a complete supplier and payee knowledge base for payables and cash payment purposes;
• To maintain an effective communication channel with suppliers and payees to inform account status and tract requests;
• To perform any other cognate duties as assigned by the Finance Managers on AP/AR, closing accounting entries, general and specific accounting.

Candidate Profile
o HSC plus diploma in accounting or equivalent qualification would be an advantage.
o A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a financial and accounting environment with experience in different accounting modules, namely Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable and Cash module.
