Strong accent is to be given to the hospitality towards the guest as a prime goal and thus to maintain and develop the attitude of the related staff. Close co-ordination between, Housekeeping, Guest Relation as well as Food and Beverage regarding regular and especially irregular business.
This function is to lead and to manage all sections of the Front Office operations in order to ensure the highest standards of service in accordance with the operating procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure Front Office Areas are in a good state of maintenance and cleanliness
• Ensure that all complaints are immediately followed up on and communicated to the relevant departments and resolved within 24 hours
• Ensure that all Front Office staff demonstrate proactive and enthusiastic guest care
• Ensure that a complete and updated guest history system is maintained
• Ensure that Sections supervisors always actions all procedures as set down in the Shift Procedures
• Ensure that structured handovers and briefings are carried out for each shift
• Ensure that all accounting procedures area carried out in accordance with Hotel
• Carry out weekly spot checks on cashiering and float balances
• Liaise closely with Housekeeping to ensure that optimum number of rooms are available and all incoming guest requirements are met
• Communicate with all the departments, keeping them informed concerning any arrangements affecting their area
• Pro-actively sell and promote the various outlets and services of the Hotel to our guests
• Ensure that the F/O supplies are reordered in a correct and timely system
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Management
• Conducts trainings and ensure all the trainings are conducted on a monthly basis on a consistent basis
• Overlooks the paperwork and administration works
• Acts as champion in guest profiling and mail system
• Ensures arrivals and departures are attended
• Meets guests often to supervise guest overall satisfaction
• Actively promotes good feedback in our social media
• Act as Duty Manager on a rotation basis
• Ensure a supportive and learning working environment for the team members
• Execute performance evaluation
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.
Candidate Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Hotel and Tourism Management will be an asset.
• A minimum of 3(three) years of experience in similar role in international 5-star luxury hotel
• Fluent in English, a second language is a plus
• Experience working in top of the range luxury island resorts in tropical locations will constitute a definite advantage
• Ability to work under pressure
