The Finance Officer will be responsible for supporting the financial management, reporting, and compliance functions of the organisation.

 

Role Summary

The Finance Officer will be responsible for supporting the financial management, reporting, and compliance functions of the organisation. This role ensures effective budgeting, financial planning, and risk management while maintaining adherence to regulatory and legal requirements. The Finance Officer will collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights that drive informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

  • Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts to support financial planning and organisational growth.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability and liquidity.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

Strategic Planning

  • Contribute to financial strategy development to align with business objectives.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating financial risks to protect organisational assets.
  • Support investment planning by analysing financial data and assessing risk-return profiles.

Compliance and Legal Oversight

  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, including GAAP and relevant statutory requirements.
  • Assist in reviewing financial transactions to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by preparing required documentation and addressing queries.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in financial management, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Attributes

  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or CPA) is an advantage.
  • Experience in similar related role is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a dynamic team environment.
