Nouvelle Clinique du Bon Pasteur (the “Company”) operating in the healthcare industry, forming part of the Mauritian conglomerate, IBL Ltd is recruiting a FINANCE MANAGER to oversee the financial activities of the Company.
This selected candidate will play a crucial role in the financial strategy and operations of the Company.
The Finance Manager will report to the Head of Finance of the Company.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
- Lead the regular accounting activities of the business unit, namely:
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Be responsible of the financial planning cycle (Treasury Management, Budget Control, Account Consolidation, Dashboards. Etc.) of the business unit under responsibility.
- Participate in internal and external audit assignments of the organisation.
Strategy
- Assist the Head of Finance in the organisation of:
- Budget preparation and monitoring.
- Strategic projects and reporting.
- Financial data analytics.
- And any other related projects as and when required from the Management and IBL Head Office.
Reporting
- Ensure that all financial reporting is within deadlines, namely:
- Monthly management accounts and operations dashboards.
- Quarterly and annual management accounts and Group Reporting Packs.
- Yearly budgets, board packs and Group Reporting Packs.
- Any regular reporting to health authorities.
- And any other related documents/ reports as and when required from the Management and IBL Head Office.
- Monitor and analyse trends and variances for communication to Executive team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) at the final stage is required.
- Proven experience in an equivalent function.
- Prior experience in the healthcare industry.
- In-depth understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Excellent accounting reporting and financial analysis skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail with sound judgement.
- Awareness of business trends.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like Netsuite and Sage.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills in French and English.
