Job Profile

We have exciting opportunities for Driver (Goods Vehicle) to join our dynamic Team for the transportation of construction materials, tools and equipment to and from job sites while ensuring good coordination for smooth deliveries.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
  • Safely load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
  • Navigate construction sites efficiently, adhering to safety protocols and avoiding obstacles.
  • Verify delivered materials against order specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform basic maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including quantities, dates, and any issues encountered.
  • Adhere to construction site safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment.
  • Address any delivery-related issues promptly and work towards resolution in collaboration with the construction team.
  • Any other cognate duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Holder of a School Certificate.
  • Previous experience in a similar position would be an advantage.

Knowledge, Skills & Attitude:

  • Possess a driver’s licence (8 tonnes).
  • Knowledge in crane operations.
  • Proper communication with team members.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials.
  • Ability to load and unload construction materials, tools and equipment on sites.
  • Time management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
