Delivery Driver

L'Artigiano (An APTIS Group Company) is currently looking for a Delivery Driver to join its team!

ROLE PURPOSE

The purpose of this role is to ensure the proper collection of products and delivery to clients around the island.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Delivery:

• Safely transport products to customer locations in a timely, safe, and courteous manner.
• Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules for deliveries.
• Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring that items are secured during transit.

Vehicle Maintenance:

• Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks, including fuel, oil, water, and tire checks, to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
• Report any vehicle maintenance needs or issues to the supervisor.
• Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of the delivery vehicle at all times.

Customer Service:

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner upon delivery.
• Handle customer queries or complaints regarding deliveries and report them to the relevant department.
• Collect payments or signatures from clients when necessary.

Safety Compliance:

• Comply with all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Follow safety procedures for vehicle operation and product handling.
• Report any accidents or vehicle damage immediately to management.

Record Keeping:

• Accurately complete logs and reports, including delivery notes, mileage, and fuel receipts.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer authorizations/signatures.

Inventory Management:

• Assist in loading and unloading goods, ensuring accurate delivery of orders.
• Check and confirm inventory against delivery documents before and after delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS

• HSC
• Valid manual driving licence

EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.

TECHNICAL & BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES

• Ability to drive safely and efficiently in various weather and traffic conditions.
• Good driving record with no traffic violations.
• Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods.
• Physical ability to load and unload goods, including lifting and carrying items.
