Data Centre Operator – IT Services

The Operator is responsible of key tasks such as end of day batch runs, generation and printing of statements and reports as well as monitoring of 24 X 7 application services.

The Operator is responsible of key tasks such as end of day batch runs, generation and printing of statements and reports as well as monitoring of 24 X 7 application services.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitoring activity and access of the Data Centre and its operations section to ensure that there is compliance of security policies.
• Monitor ATMs, servers, storage, logs and error reports.
• Perform system and application backups.
• Monitor system console for error messages, log and escalate problem to ICT administrator.
• Monitoring DC/UPS room as per instruction/checklists
• Coordinate with other system administrators to guarantee that uptime is maximized so that the Data Centre can provide quality services.
• Attend client’s queries after office hours and escalate to concerned department.
• Attend queries pertaining to Debit / Credit cards.
• Handle all customer queries efficiently.

 PREREQUISITES:

• Candidate should have a diploma in Information Technology from a recognized institution or any qualification accepted by the bank.
• Alternatively, candidate may have 2 A levels plus advanced level certificate in IT or acceptable work experience in IT field.
• Candidate should preferably have some experience in the same field.

 SKILLS:

• Willing to work on shifts as Data Centres work round-the-clock.
• Ability to provide an appropriate level of attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced, process driven environment
