Our client, an industry leader in specialised international financial services is expanding their team in Port Louis and is on the lookout for a dynamic Data Analyst to join their rank.

 

Role Overview: 

In this role, you will spearhead comprehensive documentation management, encompassing bulk scanning and profiling of client-related documentation. 

Qualification

  • University degree or two years of experience in banking, investments, trust, or a comparable business. 

Skills and experience required:  

  • Knowledge of Guernsey's and Mauritius' regulatory environment.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide excellent client services.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance.
  • Proficiency in computerized accounting systems.
  • General understanding of trust and banking practices (an advantage).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications. 

Job description: 

  • Handle filing and scanning of all incoming client-related documentation, ensuring strict compliance with standards and legislation governing information retention for efficient retrieval.
  • Facilitate swift and efficient retrieval of documentation.
  • Operate the document management system seamlessly.
  • Maintain archived records accurately and promptly for efficient retrieval.
  • Ensure optimal data capture, validation, and classification, implementing controls to enhance quality and maximize coverage.
  • Collaborate on relevant ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Establish and uphold robust processes related to data set-up, storage, and distribution.
  • Participate in projects aimed at streamlining infrastructure and enhancing efficiency.
  • Engage in partnerships with stakeholders such as Front Office, Middle Office, Audit, Compliance, and Regulatory Reporting to deliver solutions aligning with both immediate business priorities and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Enforce compliance with procedures and policies, adhering to Key Operating Procedures, fostering a high-quality culture to minimize errors, and ensuring delivery of top-tier service levels.
  • Address queries efficiently and promptly.
  • Escalate issues to the Manager for timely resolution.
  • Manage and prioritize daily workload to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Propose and seek recommendations to enhance efficiencies, reduce workload, and streamline processes. 
Monthly Salary Range: MUR 20 000 to 23 000
