The role of the driver/ messenger/ facilities assistant is to handle maintenance work, intervene in emergency intervention and access to building, deal with the NTA, engage in Man Power and Security and process driver duties.
Maintenance and work
- Attend to plumbing, electrical repairs, office furniture repairs, cable laying, basic intervention on CCTV/Access control system, working at height for changing of bulb under appropriate safety guidelines and painting work during and after office hours
- To properly planned reparation work and seek quotation for spare parts
- Attend request for repairs including paint work and retrofitting exercise
- Attend to planned interventions, supervise activity and request for technical reports – pest control, rcd testing, Lift maintenance, carpet cleaning etc
- Adhere to the Bank’s internal processes and policy
- Advise for replacement of PPE’s as and when required and follow health and safety guidelines and make recommendations for preventive interventions
- Ensure proper use of the bank’s M&E/Facilities infrastructures
- Ensure workplace was clean and in good condition operating after any work.
- Reporting maintenance statues to reporting line.
- Perform routing building maintenance duties
Emergency intervention and access to building
- Access to building whenever we have an issue (Security, maintenance urgent intervention)
- Access to staff when we have staff working during public holidays and weekend upon approval from management
NTA
- Ensure document is handled and process properly at NTA office
Man Power
- Provide work force to carry boxes and equipment within and outside building premises
Post Office
- Ensure all letters are posted properly and incoming postage are delivered to your reporting line
Security
- Ensure building security and inform to your reporting line if you find suspicious activities
Procurement and Approval
- Request for quotation for repairs of equipment, furniture, and maintenance work from suppliers as per request from maintenance officer and request for approval (Quotation and petty cash)
Driver Duties
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing postage are done in a timely manner.
- Observe safety regulations and road rules while driving on official trips.
- Attend to staff transport requests within the shortest delay.
- Ensure vehicles contain the required equipment as stipulated by law (Fire extinguishers / triangle sign etc).
- Ensure vehicle is maintain in good and clean conditions and daily check are been done and reported when anomalies are found (engine oil, coolant, lights, dashboard sensors, tyre conditions etc)
- Pick up and drive senior executives, employees and clients to and from appointments and engagements in various destinations, often late at night.
- Ensure that the company vehicle is parked in safe and authorized places and returned to the company’s reserved parking as and when require
- Ensure proper use of fuel cards
- Drivers to abide to all instructions as stipulated in the bank company vehicle policy

Experience & Qulaification
