The Construction Surveyor shall be responsible for assisting the Cost Estimator into bid preparation for building projects by providing accurate quantity take off.

 

This role requires a thorough understanding of building construction procedures and interpretation of tender/construction drawings and specifications. The candidate shall have called upon to collaborate with Cost Estimator, Method Engineer and Project Manager to ensure that projects are being delivered in a well budgeted manner.

 

Key Responsibilities:

    • Review and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
    • Prepare detailed quantity takeoff of building projects, consisting of, greyworks, finishing, openings and external works.
    • Utilize modeling software and tools to produce accurate quantity takeoffs.
    • Coordinate with Cost Estimator to build up Bill of Quantities.
    • Attend site visits at Pre-Bid stage for a better comprehension of the project.

Requirements:

    • Proficient in drafting 2D/3D software such as AutoCad, Revit, ArchiCAd or Attic+
    • Competent level of Microsoft Excel
    • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
    • Knowledge in building construction methodology
    • Proven experience in similar position shall be an advantage
    • Strong communication and organizational aptitudes
    • Ability to work in a team
    • Willing to learn new modeling software

Qualifications :

  • Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering, or Quantity Surveying

 

Working Conditions :

  • Office-based with occasional site visits.
  • May require extended hours during peak periods.
