NAV is seeking an experienced professional to review, manage existing client relationships, work with prospective clients, and ensure compliance with AML/KYC/CFT and other regulatory policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and their potential impact on the Company and clients.
• Advise on anti-money laundering due diligence and sanction checks on client and investor files to compliance and legal teams.
• Manage the testing of know your customer information collected on funds and investors to ensure compliance with NAV's policies and procedures and the Mauritius AML/CFT Regime.
• Act as Money Laundering Reporting Officer ("MLRO") for NAV and certain NAV clients and present anti-money laundering compliance reporting at client board meetings.
• Represent the company in meetings with regulators and governmental agencies.
• Act as Secretary for NAV and certain NAV clients and present at Investment committee, Risk committee and client board meetings.
• Coordinate internally with staff in connection with examinations and inquiries by regulators and governmental agencies to ensure timely and accurate responses.
• Coordinate remediation efforts, as needed, resulting from internal audit or examination findings.
• Review client provided representation letters for investment risk ratings or sanctions monitoring, where applicable.
• Monitor the implementation of various compliance policies and procedures and conduct periodic compliance assurance review.
• Actively assist in maintaining compliance policies and procedures, including participating in performing annual reviews thereon.
• Conduct risk assessments.
• Ensure overall client satisfaction by facilitating efforts of the assigned servicing team, coordinating resources to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution, and effectively communicating client requirements and concerns to internal managers and teams.
• Periodic review of compliance and regulatory filings.
• Review fund formation, offering and governing documents, side letters and investment management agreements to ensure proper application of fund terms.
• Cultivate strong working relationships with client contacts. Add value with a consultative approach, by anticipating client needs and possible solutions, and partnering with the client for implementation of next steps, including cross-selling of services to existing clients.
• Develop new business through communicating with warm leads, coordinating presentations, conducting demos of web portal and proprietary systems, developing proposals, negotiating service agreements, closing sales and ensuring smooth delivery of new services.
• Spread awareness of the Company’s brand by developing and maintaining a strong network of intermediary relationships with influencers and other referral sources.
• Liaise with clients, directors, internal parties, and outside counsel as necessary.
• Source and negotiate anti-money laundering due diligence vendor service agreements.
• Source and negotiate professional liability and other insurance as required by regulators, business partners and clients worldwide.
• Assist with any ad-hoc projects as required.
• Oversee and manage initial due diligence review of prospective clients; perform and administer the approval process for acceptance and risk rating of new clients.

 

Required Minimum Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience, with a focus on alternative investments funds, hedge funds, real assets, and/or private equity
• Prior experience at a hedge fund administrator or law firm is strongly preferred • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) is required
• Advanced degree (JD, MBA) and/or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is strongly preferred
• Should be efficient and well organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Must be able to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
• Demonstrable communication, relationship and team skills
• Significant degree of self-motivation and integrity
• Experience presenting to prospective clients, and negotiating and closing deals utilizing the       consultative approach is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills Remote or Hybrid work.

 You will work at the Company’s Ebene, Mauritius office at least three days per week and other days remotely from home
