The position of Social Media Community Manager consists of fostering engagement, building relationships, and maintaining the integrity of online communities through social channels.  
 

Responsibilities

  • Set and implement social media and communication campaigns to align with marketing strategies
  • Writing content for social networks and contributing ideas to the marketing plans
  • Respond to comments and customer queries in a timely manner 
  • Monitor and report on feedback and online reviews 
  • Organise and participate in events to build community and boost brand awareness 
  • Coordinate with Marketing, PR and Communications teams to ensure brand consistency 
  • Liaise with Development and Sales departments to stay updated on new products and features 
  • Build relationships with customers, potential customers, industry professionals and journalists 
  • Understand client’s business, industry, competitors, key drivers, environment, etc
  • Ensure projects stay on strategy, on schedule, and on budget
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for social content creation
  • Proofread copy to check spelling and grammar
  • Interpret data and identify strategic needs
  • Create monthly publishing schedule (planning) for each brand
  • Promote content through social advertising and produce media buying reports
  • Produce monthly social media reports with recommendations
  • Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends

 

Requirements and skills

  • Proven work experience as a community manager 
  • Experience launching online initiatives (New pages, projects, products and so on)
  • Ability to identify and track relevant digital metrics and statistics
  • Excellent verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent writing skills 
  • Hands on experience with social media management for brands 
  • Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels 
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Degree in Marketing or relevant field
