We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Coffee Shop Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced coffee shop environment. The ideal candidate will be computer literate, possess excellent communication skills, have strong leadership abilities, and be highly organised in stock management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate a team of baristas and staff to provide exceptional customer service. Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.
  • Customer Service: Ensure all customers receive high-quality service and address customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Stock and Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage orders and deliveries, and ensure efficient use of resources. Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain stock records.
  • Financial Management: Oversee daily cash handling, process transactions, and ensure proper financial procedures are followed. Prepare daily and weekly sales reports.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, scheduling shifts, and ensuring the shop runs smoothly.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the coffee shop adheres to all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, cleanliness, and safe working conditions.
  • Marketing and Promotions: Collaborate with the team to develop and execute marketing strategies to drive foot traffic and promote new products or seasonal offerings.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in using Point of Sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and basic office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Suite).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with customers, staff, and suppliers.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Proven track record of decision-making and conflict resolution.
  • Stock Management: Experience in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock records.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well within a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a managerial role within the foodservice or hospitality industry is preferred.
