Role Overview:

Qualification:
- University degree or diploma in business and a recognised accounting qualification OR
- Five years of accounting experience, preferably in a Trust environment.
Skills and experience required:
- Knowledge of Guernsey's and Mauritius' regulatory environment.
- Strong understanding of computerised accounting systems.
- Proficiency in the preparation of financial statements for Trusts and Companies.
- General knowledge of trust and banking practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Job description:
- Drafting financial statements for clients.
- Auditing computerised accounting records before preparing financial statements.
- Reviewing minute books, statutory records, trust documents, and correspondence files.
- Ensuring KPIs and targets are consistently met.
- Collaborating with auditors to facilitate their work and meet requirements.
- Maintaining a strong technical knowledge of our computer systems.
- Reviewing exception reports and promptly addressing arising issues.
- Efficiently managing queries and providing timely responses.
- Assisting with special projects and investigations into complaints.
- Ensuring accurate processing of fees for the preparation of financial statements.
- Cultivating a high-quality culture to minimise errors.
