Exchange Lounge, situated on Ground Floor, 7 Exchange Square, Wall Street, Ebene, Mauritius, is looking for a diligent and reliable Cleaning Attendant to join its team.

 

As a Cleaning Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the facility. This includes cleaning assigned areas such as guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all staff and guests. Your attention to detail and strong work ethic will help us maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize assigned areas, including guest rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces to maintain cleanliness.
  • Replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other necessary items in rooms and restrooms.
  • Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in designated areas.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces to maintain a streak-free shine.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards (e.g., broken equipment, leaks) to the supervisor or management.
  • Ensure that cleaning equipment and tools are well-maintained and used safely.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report low stock levels to management.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and ensure that all tasks are completed within designated timeframes.
  • Follow health and safety regulations, ensuring proper handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals.
  • Assist with deep cleaning tasks as required (e.g., seasonal cleaning, high-touch areas).
  • Work collaboratively with other housekeeping and facility staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with guests, addressing any specific cleaning requests or concerns.
  • Ensure that all cleaning activities contribute to a safe and pleasant environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of cleaning materials, equipment, and techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to lift, bend, and move cleaning equipment.
  • Strong time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • No formal qualification required.
