The Café Operator shall be responsible for the daily operations of our café outlet at C-Care (Grand-Baie), ensuring an outstanding customer experience, and maintaining high standards for food and beverage service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise café staff, including baristas, servers, and kitchen personnel.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and resolving customer concerns.
- Monitor the daily operations of the café, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
- Manage inventory and order supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Handle cash, process payments, and manage the café's financial records.
- Develop and implement promotional activities and events to increase sales and attract customers.
- Train and develop café staff on service standards, product knowledge, and safety procedures.
- Analyze sales and performance data to optimize product offerings and services.
- Ensure compliance with all local regulations, including food safety and labor laws.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality management role.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong team spirit
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and presentation.
- Ability to manage inventory, control costs, and maintain profitability.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
