The Bookkeeper will be responsible for providing accurate, efficient, and timely bookkeeping services to a portfolio of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based in the UK.

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for providing accurate, efficient, and timely bookkeeping services to a portfolio of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based in the UK. The role involves maintaining financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and client-specific requirements.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple UK clients.
- Process and record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and supplier statements on a regular basis.
- Prepare VAT returns and submit them in line with UK regulations.
- Assist with payroll processing and associated record-keeping, if required by clients.
- Ensure all financial data is accurate and properly maintained within accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage).
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end financial reports.
- Liaise with clients to obtain necessary documents and clarify queries related to transactions.
- Collaborate with senior accountants to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required.
Abilities& Experience:
- Higher School Certificate with Accounting, or Diploma in Accounting, or ACCA Level 1.
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience working in an offshore accounting environment is an advantage.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or similar platforms and Microsoft 365 product.
- Strong understanding of UK bookkeeping standards, VAT, and payroll processes will be an advantage.

Working hours: Monday to Friday – 09h00 to 16h30
