Blender Operator

The core responsibility of the Assistant Blender Technician is to operate production line equipment efficiently: Ensure full operation of the blender production line to achieve required output; Ensure maximum availability of production equipment and reduce downtime

• Ensure that all the required raw material (cement and admixtures) are always available for production of blended cement;
• Full understanding of the blending process with constant focus on the risks associated with contamination issues;
• Ensure that the blend is of the right ratio at all times;
• Perform quality checks and run the XRF analysis tests;
• Optimization of process and equipment to meet set targets;
• Responsible for the good running conditions of equipment;
• Perform first level maintenance (inspection checklist and intervention);
• Report any anomaly regarding proper running of equipment to supervisor;
• Seek assistance and work with maintenance team for preventive and curative interventions;
• Follow up of Production planning, guidance and instruction set and to report back any issue affecting output;
• Ensure proper housekeeping of plant and equipment;
• Any other cognate duties within the scope of work at the terminal as may be required.
