Our client in the Cybersecurity sector is seeking to recruit an Associate Cybersecurity Consultant who will report to the Head of Operations / COO.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and exploit security weaknesses in client environments.
  • Use security tools and techniques to scan, analyze, and report on vulnerabilities in networks, applications, and systems.
  • Perform technical reviews of system configurations across Windows, Linux, and hybrid platforms to detect misconfigurations and risks.
  • Draft clear and concise technical reports summarizing findings, risk impact, and recommendations for remediation.
  • Collaborate with senior consultants and team members during cyber security engagements and contribute to project delivery.
  • Support clients in understanding and addressing security gaps by providing technical advice and assisting in remediation efforts.
  • Participate in security awareness initiatives such as phishing simulations and social engineering tests to evaluate human risk.
  • Assist in digital forensic investigations by collecting, preserving, and analyzing electronic evidence related to security incidents.
  • Assist in delivering information security awareness training to promote a cybersecurity culture within client organizations.
  • Present technical findings and risk insights to clients in a clear, professional, and business-aligned manner.
Profile:

  • Degree in Cyber Security or Degree in Computer Science.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Understanding of Ethical Hacking.
  • Knowledge of hacking tools and frameworks such as Wireshark, Nmap, and others.
  • Knowledge of common Cyber Security Concepts.
  • Basic Understanding of incident response procedures and the ability to assist in handling security incidents.
  • Familiar with networking fundamentals.
  • Basic scripting skills (Python or PowerShell).
  • Basic Understanding of ISO 27001 Framework.
  • Ability to analyze logs and security alerts (e.g., Windows Event Logs, Syslogs) for threat detection and incident response.
  • Certification in Cyber Security will be a plus.
