Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing all aspects of construction costs and contracts, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and within budget.

Nextep Contracting Co Ltd, a sister company of DLB Construction & Co Ltd is looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.

Main Responsibilities

• Estimating quantities and costs for materials and labour.
• Preparing tender and contract documents.
• Assigning work to subcontractors and ensuring compliance with contracts.
• Valuing completed work and preparing monthly interim claims.
• Measuring variation works and maintaining accurate records.
• Managing procurement by selecting and sourcing materials.
• Ensuring projects meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Preparing monthly profitability reports for projects.
• Conducting rate build-ups and analysing labour performance.
• Preparing piece work certificates for internal labour.
• Conducting joint measurements on-site with the main contractor and subcontractors.
• Monitoring materials and labour to ensure alignment with allowable budgets.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
• Skills:
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
