Operational

  1. Oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
  2. Implement and monitor standard operating procedures for housekeeping tasks.
  3. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and staff areas to ensure quality and adherence to established standards.

Training & Quality

  1. Assist in training new housekeeping staff on procedures, standards, and safety protocols.
  2. Develop and execute comprehensive training programs for new housekeeping staff, covering cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
  3. Conduct regular refresher training sessions for existing staff to keep them updated on new procedures, techniques, and standards.
  4. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and adjust content and delivery methods as needed to improve performance.
  5. Mentor and support staff in their professional development, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  6. Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure that all areas of the property meet or exceed cleanliness and presentation standards.
  7. Conduct regular inspections and audits of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to identify and address any deviations from established standards.
  8. Develop and maintain quality assurance checklists and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and reflect best practices.
  9. Address and resolve quality issues promptly, coordinating with staff to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
  10. Utilize guest feedback and inspection results to drive continuous improvement in housekeeping practices.

Financial

  1. Assist in preparing and managing the housekeeping department’s budget, including labor costs, supplies, and equipment.
  2. Monitor budget performance and make recommendations for adjustments to ensure financial targets are met.
  3. Track and analyze departmental expenditures, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  4. Implement cost-control measures to minimize waste and ensure optimal use of resources.
  5. Assist in managing the inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linen, and other housekeeping materials.

People Management

  1. Assist in scheduling and managing housekeeping staff to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency.
  2. Supervise and support housekeeping staff in their daily tasks, providing guidance and addressing any issues that arise.
  3. Recognize and reward high-performing staff members to encourage a positive and motivated work environment.
  4. Supervise and direct housekeeping staff, including room attendants and housemen, providing guidance and support as needed.
  5. Address and resolve any staff performance issues or operational challenges promptly.
  6. Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing regular feedback and conducting performance reviews.
  7. Address performance issues promptly and fairly, implementing disciplinary actions if necessary.
  8. Recognize and reward exceptional performance to foster a positive and motivated work environment.
