We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Compliance Executive to join our team at Capital Horizons Ltd in Floreal, Mauritius. Capital Horizons is a 100% privately held organisation by the Kundomal & Co, which owns interests in financial services, fund managers, real estate development companies and Technology companies.

  1. Preventing, detecting and responding to compliance, regulatory and ML/TF risks faced by Clients of CHL, in line with the relevant AML/CFT Framework.
  2. Carrying out file review and all other due diligence necessary for client on-boarding and assisting with the design of the KYC Framework.
  3. Perform and execute all tasks assigned and any such task delivered shall be accurate, well- presented, meet quality standards, on time and in full, including but not limited: 
  • KYC review on entities based in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Maintain KYC Documents on a secured database – File Review (including world – check and sanction list screening).
  • Support in identifying, analysing, and disseminating the latest global regulatory information.
  • Ensure all tasks assigned are up to date based on the planning in place.
  • Proactively inform the Reporting Line for any work that cannot be executed as planned highlighting where changes may be needed in planning assumptions.
  • Ensure all tasks executed are accurate and error free and always meets quality standards.
  • Use professional judgment to assess when to escalate an issue promptly.
  • Perform any ad-hoc functions relating to compliance work and any other cognate duties that may from time to time be required, and which are appropriate for the role and business needs.
Skills & Qualifications:
  1. Degree in Law/Finance with law/Management with Law or Professional Qualifications in Compliance.
  2. Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in similar position in a regulated entity.
  3. Communication skills both verbal and written.
  4. Ability to handle confidential information.
  5. Team player and ability to work independently as well.
