Our client, a manufacturing company in British Columbia, Canada is looking for an Assistant Accountant urgently to work remotely in Mauritius from 18:00 to 03:00. This is a hybrid work from home position where you will be requested to attend office not more than 1 day a week.

 

Duties:

  • Month end process for closing subledgers and posting journal entries.
  • Review Credit cards reconciliation and making provisions for month end.
  • Perform bank reconciliations weekly and for month end.
  • Ensuring all payments and invoices are posted in Accounts Payable.
  • Ensuring all cash receipts have been matched properly and posted.
  • Monthly Interco analysis and confirmation, including sending invoices and processing same for other sister/related companies.
  • Prepare weekly cash forecast.
  • Prepare weekly payment run and seek approval with Controller.
  • Initiate payment on Bank platform to vendors and employees for expenses reimbursement.
  • Process all expense reimbursements.
  • Prepare weekly production report for management and balance monthly.
  • Prepare warranty expense report.
  • Manage accounts payable clerk and ensure that all processing on Account Payable is completed per deadline and SLAs.
  • Process management reports per Client needs.
  • Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations per audit standards.
  • Responsible for the Client portfolio and ensure work allocation within team members are adequate and reasonable.
  • Provide weekly dashboard to Executives on performance for the Client’s portfolio assigned.
