The Air Commerce Manager is a key role responsible for managing relationships with international carrier airlines operating in Mauritius. This individual excels in fostering strong partnerships with these airlines, ensuring smooth collaboration and effective communication channels. With extensive knowledge of International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations and guidelines, the Air Commerce Manager ensures compliance and facilitates seamless transactions between Travelport and the airlines.
Duties:
- Cultivating and maintaining strong partnerships with international carrier airlines operating in Mauritius to ensure collaborative success and smooth operational interactions.
- Ensuring adherence to International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations and standards in all airline transactions and operations to maintain regulatory compliance and enhance operational efficiency.
- Leading the implementation and integration of New Distribution Capability (NDC) standards into systems and processes, facilitating enhanced distribution and merchandising capabilities for airline products and services.
- Identifying opportunities for business growth and expansion within the Mauritius air commerce market by leveraging strong relationships with international carrier airlines and understanding market dynamics.
- Conducting market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the Mauritius air commerce sector and developing strategic initiatives to capitalize on market dynamics and maximize business outcomes.
- Tracking and analyzing key performance metrics related to airline transactions, NDC utilization, and reservation system usage, and preparing regular reports to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with various departments, including sales, marketing, product development, and customer support, to align strategies, share insights, and drive collective success in the Mauritius air commerce market.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education required.
- Experience between 7-8 years in Travel management, corporate travel and similar lines
- Candidates with knowledge of Galileo GDS or other GDS systems will be considered
