The Candidate shall act as a support staff to the Group Accounts Manager in the accounting tasks and meeting statutory Audit and other deadlines. He/She shall be expected to attend to quotation requests in a timely manner of other colleagues based in Africa.
Responsibilities
- Providing accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department
- Preparing and maintaining accounting documents and record
- General ledger postings and with bank statements postings and reconciliations
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner, especially Supplier Reconciliation with Statement of Accounts
- Petty Cash Management
- Assist in preparation of Management Accounts
- Assist with external audit
- Assist with administrative Tasks which include requests for quotes and preparation of RFQ to send to client
Requirements and skills
- Proven accounting experience, preferably Accounts Clerk.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
- Competency in MS Office and accounting software.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
- Accuracy and attention to details.
- Aptitude for numbers.
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks.
- Well organized.
- Fluency in English
