Our client, one of the well-known companies in the construction and manufacturing industry, is looking to recruit a dynamic and ambitious candidate for the position of Accountant for a period of 6 months.

Our client, one of the well-known companies in the construction and manufacturing industry, is looking to recruit a dynamic and ambitious candidate for the position of Accountant for a period of 6 months.

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the company’s support services to ensure smooth operations.
  • Oversee all administrative duties, including office systems management, layout optimization, and procurement of equipment.
  • Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, petty cash, treasury, and stock control.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate processing of transactions.
  • Prepare monthly reports for finalization of Management Accounts and assist in generating Monthly Management Accounts.
  • Participate in inventory management, including stock adjustments upon approval from the Finance Manager.
  • Prepare all month-end and year-end reports, including accruals, prepayments, adjustment journals, provisions, and revaluation for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Bank accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of Statutory Returns such as VAT, TDS, NPS, PAYE, CSG, and other regulatory submissions.
  • Process the monthly payroll and assist with HR-related queries and issues.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and update cashflow forecasts on a weekly basis.
  • Support external auditors by addressing audit queries and facilitating the audit process.
  • Assist in the preparation and issuance of the company’s Financial Statements.
  • Perform any other cognate duties

Your Profile:

  • At least a degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Management/ACCA Level 2
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Experience in construction is a must.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Team spirit and willing to provide support wherever required to team members.
  • Ability to apply a critical mind to any given situation
