Lorry Driver

We are seeking a reliable and experienced lorry driver to join our team

Duties and Responsibilities:

This job role involves:

1. Drive company vehicles as and when required for specific duties.

2. Vehicles should be kept clean at all times.

3. Defects or mechanical problems to be reported immediately to the Operations Officer.

4. Check vehicle conditions weekly as per check list provided.

5. Monitoring mileage run/period vehicle is used, and informing the officer in charge of transport when servicing is due

6. Checking of all lights, horn, wipers, brake and clutch to ensure that they are in good working condition.

7. Verify all products being loaded in vehicle are as per invoices.

8. Undertake Delivery of products to hardware shops and other clients around the Island.

9. Ensure careful and efficient delivery of products to customers.

10. Ensure that customers sign receipts and that cash is collected properly.

11. Customer complaints to be recorded    properly and reported to operations officer.

12. Properly use unloading techniques to ensure safety of self and others                                            and to eliminate damage to product.

13. Wear Personal Protective Equipment when required.

14. Speed limits must be observed at all times   

15. Stay alert and actively pay attention to your  actions and those of the drivers around you when you are driving.

Qualifications:

Certificate of Character

Form 3

Lorry Driving License (3.5 Tons)
