Operations Manager - Distilling

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily production operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement production schedules and budgets.
  • Organise the flow and proper storage of finished goods and raw materials
  • Oversee Logistics Planning
  • Responsible for maintenance programme and ensure optimal functioning of equipment.
  • Lead and motivate production staff.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Prepare Sales and Production Reports
  • Implement and ensure adherence to QSE processes and procedures
  • Preparation of documentation for regulatory bodies, including MRA.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Minimum five years of experience in distillery and/or food processing operations
  • Strong understanding and familiarity of the distilling process would be a definite advantage
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining quality control programs
  • Knowledge in the regulations governing the production and sales of distilled spirits
  • Excellent transformational leadership competence
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to regulations
