Assistant Accountant

We are searching for an enthusiastic and committed Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic team at HF Markets.

Your role at HF Markets:

• Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and standards.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Prepare budget, country performance report and other reporting including variance analysis.
• Ensure timely reporting of all financial information.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions.
• Maintain proper accounting records and ensure adherence with established internal control procedures.
• Assist in daily banking requirements.
• Ability to interpret and make use of IAS / IFRS.
• Liaise with External Auditor to ensure a clean and timely year end audit.
• Filing of statutory returns to local authority.
• Liaise with authorities (MRA, FSC and ROC) and banks as and when required.
• Ensure payroll are validated and paid within the required timeframe.

What You Bring:

• BSc/BA in Accounting or Finance or ACCA level 2.
• At least 5 years Finance experience including 3 years’ experience in audit.
• Well-organized knowledge on IAS / IFRS, Taxation and other Finance scope.
• Knowledge of Sage Accounting software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Presentation skills.
• Fluent in English and French, oral and written.
