The Parts Advisor must assist all mechanics and customers in purchasing needed parts and supplies.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Look up and prepare parts quotation by utilizing several parts catalogs to find details, price & availability of parts.
- Process customer quotations and assist service advisors with estimates for unavailable parts and ordering non-available parts as needed.
- Work with PVN to order customized parts for new vehicles.
- Send requests for borrowed parts in case of urgency.
- Provide Technicians with necessary parts with minimal wait time; send parts pre-picking list (e.g., when customer is coming in for recall part or scheduled service interval).
- Calculate pricing/ estimations for parts.
- Once quotations have been approved ensure parts have been reserved accordingly.
- Note which stock is running low and order replacement stock in good time.
- Follow up on special parts of grounded vehicles and notify technicians when received.
- Follow up on borrowed parts from new vehicles/temporary repairs.
- Review orders for reserved parts on a weekly basis.
- In case of urgency liaise with the Procurement to look up for parts locally.
- Liaise with the Procurement for ETA and notify service advisors accordingly.
- Assist with inventory.
- Study knowledge of all parts products and services.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum HSC
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience and/or equivalent combination of education
- Knowledge of automotive industry and parts is essential
