Our client in the Project Management sector is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Coordinator to support the engineering team in managing and executing projects efficiently. The ideal candidate will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Scheduling:
- Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate project schedules, resources, and logistics to ensure timely completion.
- Reporting to management and to the client include project documents as required related to the project schedule.
- Management of critical path and long lead items as to ensure successful project completion.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and meeting minutes.
- Prepare and distribute regular status reports to stakeholders and team members.
- Assist with Project Closures and ensuring all documentation is completed to ensure final closure of the projects.
Communication & Coordination:
- Act as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries and communications.
- Facilitate meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project goals and expectations.
Resource Management:
- Track project resources and assist in the allocation of personnel and materials.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure resource availability and readiness.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and issues and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress and report on any deviations from the plan.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and engineering specifications.
- Assist in the implementation of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with the Quality Department to ensure quality control plans are in place for the equipment manufacture and inspections of all parts being manufactured are done during project execution.
Financial Tracking:
- Execute project management administrative tasks such as generating purchase orders.
- Support budget management and track project expenditures.
- Assist in executing financial tasks.
Projects Logistics:
- Ensuring all required project documentation is correctly complied.
- Scheduling of project logistics with the Logistics department.
- Client and stakeholder communication and progress reporting.
Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
- At least 1 to 3 years of experience in project coordination, preferably within an engineering or technical environment.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to think critically under pressure.
