ATESS Risk Assessors & Surveyors Co Ltd are looking an Engineer - Surveyor to assist in assessing damages, analyzing claims and preparing assessment reports for insurance or risk management purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Inspection & Assessment
- Conduct on-site inspections of damaged properties, machinery, equipment and any other insured assets.
- Collect evidence, take photographs and document damages for further analysis.
- Assist in identifying the cause and extent of damage.
2. Technical Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare preliminary reports on losses, including damage assessments, estimated repair costs, and risk factors.
- Support the Manager in drafting reports for clients and insurance companies.
- Assist in reviewing structural, mechanical, or electrical damages and suggest repair solutions.
3. Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with insurers, policyholders and repair professionals to gather necessary information.
- Assist in negotiating settlements between insurers and claimants.
- Ensure proper documentation of claim-related communications and findings.
4. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure loss assessment processes comply with company policies and insurance regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of each assessment case.
- Keep updated with industry standards, engineering best practices, and insurance policies
The requirements for candidates wishing to apply for the position are:
- Should be fluent in both english and french;
- Good reading and writing skills;
- Basic knowledge of construction and engineering would be preferable;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in a team and under tight deadlines.
- Flexible in working hours;
- Experience of 1-2 years in engineering, claims assessment, or loss adjusting will be given preference.
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or any related field.
