Requirements
- Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A solid foundation in software development principles is essential.
- Experience: 10 to 12 years of professional experience in software and application development, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful projects and innovative solutions. Experience in a startup environment is a plus.
- Technical Proficiencies :
- Programming Languages : Proficiency in Python, JavaScript (preferably TypeScript), and Go is essential, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Experience with additional languages such as Rust, Java, or C++ is highly valued and provides flexibility in addressing diverse technical challenges. A strong understanding of language-specific best practices, debugging techniques, and optimization is required.
- Frameworks and Libraries : Candidates should have expertise in backend frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI (Python) and Node.js or Express. On the front end, advanced knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks such as React (including hooks and context), Next.js, or Vue.js is crucial. Familiarity with GraphQL APIs and state management tools like Redux or MobX is an advantage, ensuring seamless development of interactive and data-driven user interfaces.
- Database Technologies : Strong hands-on experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and lightweight options like SQLite is required. Familiarity with NoSQL databases, including MongoDB, Redis, and Couchbase, is equally important. Candidates should be skilled in designing and optimizing database schemas, ensuring scalable, efficient, and secure data storage solutions tailored to startup needs.
- Cloud and Infrastructure : Experience in deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Azure is a must. Proficiency in leveraging cloud services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Firebase, or Cloud Functions is critical for efficient and scalable operations. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is expected to streamline resource management and infrastructure deployment.
- DevOps and CI/CD : Candidates must have hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI to ensure rapid and reliable application deployment. Proficiency in containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes is essential, alongside a strong understanding of monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack to maintain system reliability.
- System Architecture : Applicants should have significant experience in designing scalable and fault-tolerant systems, particularly using microservices architectures. Knowledge of event-driven systems and serverless computing is essential, with practical experience in tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ. The ability to conceptualize and implement real-time systems will be a major asset in aligning with startup goals.
