Our Client is looking for a Trainee Personal Tax Assistant to assist their offshore office in dealing with Accounting, Finance and international taxes. This role is for the office based in Mauritius linking with the UK office to provide services to international clients.
Main duties:
- Responsible for the preparation of monthly billing and workflow reports
- Assist with the day to day administrative tasks in managing client’s database
- Working with Sage Accounting system to assist with Debtors and Creditors report and liaising with suppliers
- Assist with the payment collection and sending reminders to clients
- Issue statement of accounts to clients and providing clients with requested personal tax information
- Monthly expense reporting and supplier invoice reconciliation and payment
- Complete client due diligence, KYC and engagement letter for new client’s engagement
- Creating client’s relevant information folders and saving client’s data for the team to review
- Perform any other duties and assist the tax team with the day to day tasks
- Training to understand the basics of personal international taxes.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 A Level with Grade A-C with A in Maths or ACCA Level 1
- Will consider A level school leaver as long as candidate can demonstrate a strong interest and skills in doing personal tax course in the future
- Preferably a minimum of 1-2 years of office experience in the accounting or finance sector
- Strong organisational and time management skills working to tight deadlines
- Excellent Attention to details as this will dictate the candidate progress and how quickly they integrate within the tax team
- Accuracy in particular reports generated for the team and clients
- Excellent written communication skills as will be making client’s contact through emails
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and excel
- Ability to work in a challenging environment and working within a team
